i'm glad i never had to read this in high school, because i don't think i would have enjoyed it as much then as i have over the past two days. having never read anything by bradbury before i had no idea what to expect. i guess i was expecting something similar to 1984, but i think i actually enjoyed this one more. rather than the government creating this dystopia, it is we that bring it about, by not valuing everything around us.
i think my favourite part was when mildred invites her "friends" over. brilliant.
a very scary, beautiful book.
